…after 33 years, i recently had a former employer deny my request to include images of several projects in my portfolio…these products were all taken to final prototype over a year ago and exhibited nationally, but for various sound reasons none of them went to production and likely never will…this position seems unreasonable to me… they represent nearly two years of early mornings and late nights (and a few all nighters) plus it puts a big hole in my recent work product as a designer, which i have found difficult to explain to potential employers and i deeply resent the ‘stink-eye’ i get from them when i try to explain this to them…lesson learned…don’t ask don’t tell, i suppose.
