Everything about this is inspirational, especially the video and ethos.

not a design short per se but a fun exercise. I had a professor that used to have us do this during the ideation phase of a project.

Very cool - thanks for sharing. I definitely had one of these but was a Nokia guy at heart.

Easily one of the most iconic cellphones to date!

I was probably one of the first ones in Europe with the RAZR, then you saw it in the movies. Great phone for calling, even though the buttons look great typing was a bit cumbersome when intensely used.

Graphic designer Aaron Draplin recently made his Skillshare classes on logo design and customizing type available on his youtube page: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6vORH ... IDA/videos

Here's an example:

Besides the obvious graphic design lessons, I think there are some lessons that can be applied to any creative field, just in the way he's working. He's such an inspirational creative force. It's a healthy reminder not to take yourself too seriously and allow yourself to play as a means of exploring solutions.

You can also look up his talks which are also quite good.

I love watching videos from other creative disciplines, be it graphic design, architecture, whatever. A lot of times there will be some inspiration in their process that is applicable to what we do.

I agree, its amazing how just one or two small things can change the concept drastically. I'm going to watch a few more videos, cool channe!

Since alternate creative fields were mentioned, I was watching this yesterday. Fun to see how he makes a different cover every week completely on his own.

That was oddly satisfying! I do love those VHS and Tape designs. I have a 1989 Dodge Raider with a similar pinstriping on the side ha.

Also want to watch that Weird City show!
