I am a big fan of these SAKURA PIGMA MICRON pens. I buy them by the boatloads.
However, maybe because I get over zealous at times when I sketch, the felt tips get pushed in. I’ve tried pulling them out with tweezers, but I just end up with ink all over and decide it’s not worth the 2 bucks to buy a new one.
But still, it’s still annoying when I KNOW its full of ink and is brand new as it’s getting thrown in the trash.
Anyone have similar problems? any advice? I’m sure Sakura won’t be selling boxes of the felt heads only, maybe someone should market these felt heads.
Anyone know where one can buy a box?
I love Microns, but the 005 is a POS. I like to start off with the 005 because it has a nice thin line, but the tip retracts half way through the pen life no matter how light I sketch. It really is a pain in the ass. I get mine at “The Art Store”… Sakura Pigma Micron Pens and Sets | BLICK Art Materials
I just saw them at the college bookstore. If you buy a box of 12 you get 10% off, I believe they each cost $1.98. I love them too, but I never had any problems with the tips, perhaps you are pushing too hard.
