I bought a Bobble bottle early last year but grew to hate it. It always leaked from around the thread when I squeezed it to get the water out and was noisy when it drew air back in after drinking from it. The top ended up cracking where it bottomed out on the thread.

On a happier note this is what I just ordered to replace it.

PAZ: I don't know that the heck that thing does, but that is interesting design.

I got this last week and had to return it. There's a secondary plastic lip over the SS vessel which the lid screws onto. But there's no seal between the 2, and it was leaking right off the bat.

Overall nice form- but doesn't perform.

this thread is ace, some really nice stuff.

Feel your pain Paz, I also have a leaky Bobble :(
it's a nice idea in theory though. filters are popping up everywhere.

Those 321s look freaky! like a sci-fi movie prop, but in a good way...
Apparently that blue thing is a plunger w/filter, called an "Aegean blue Filter Tree" - its like an alien cafetiere!
Personally I much prefer this monochrome version:

Bit stealthier... but looks like a render, so might not exist.

Mikeserafin - thats a shame, I was going to get one of those new Kors... if you send it back let us know what they say...hopefully they fix the problem. leaves me time to agonise over which colour to choose...

Hoping this was a fluke, I would put this one on top, or that super clean one Yo posted a while back.

Yea I was speaking to some mates at Uni who have/had bobbles and many of them experienced the filter top cracking rendering the bottle useless. Also PET which is what the bobble is made from, doesn't normally contain BPA so I don't know what marketing gimmick they are spinning there.

Yea I think that was a rending from the initial conception stages, the blue "fractal-ice" does look pretty cool in real life though.
I love the solution to the filter change for the 321 water. Its just a disc of carbon in a removable rubber casing, to replace you just discard (compost?) the carbon disc and put a replacement in the rubber casing.
Maybe I'll post a full review after I have lived with it for a few weeks.

Who'da thunk it ... the perfect "water bottle" has been hanging on the wall out in my garage for the past forty-five years.

Here's one I designed for Trudeau's line of on the go products : FUEL.
It's stainless steel, the lid is super confortable and it's under 10$.
Doesn't leak, easy to recycle and has a specially designed lid to drink from.
Try it, you'll love it !

I agree with that last comment, very nice.

A question to everyone: I've realized that water bottles come in mandy shapes and sizes, with various elements that make the bottle for running, or for biking, or for work, sports, whatever. Some water bottles being more meant for one activity than another, if someone were to create an attractive watter bottle that served most uses ie. it fit in the cup holder of your car, fit in your bicycle, had different openings to it (like a wide opening and a smaller one) that you could open with one of two hands, had an ML measure, and was comfortable to grasp, would you want one? or would you want one specifically targeted for your activity?

I'd appreciate answers, this is for a assignment for design school! :D
