As a data point: I must have spent more than 15 years in tech biz, working in Rhino with a bunch of Asian ODMs, and model-maker vendors. Exporting as STEP, often including place-holder mechanical details. They’d rebuild in their preferred CAD package, then we’d iterate back and forth with shared files to iron out wrinkles to take through to prototype. Clearly Solidworks would be a more efficient way to go, but just sayin’, Rhino isn’t a deal killer…
