Hey, I’m new here.
I was thinking of buying this laptop for university:
My main question is wether a dedicated graphics card is needed. The laptop linked has a 2gb nVidia graphics card however I currently can run Creo/ProE fine on Intel HD graphics on my current laptop.

If you’re running the software fine on what you already have with onboard graphics then maybe get something more portable, like an ultrabook. I’m sure the dedicated graphics card helps but it’s not going to help battery life or weight at all but if portability isn’t an issue then go for it.
