Sketching references

I’m working on a paper where my position is to promote the idea that not every designer has to be a star sketcher. Loose sketches are still sometimes the most useful and communicative–at a certain point in the process. This also relates to how the computer is used as a tool these days, not necessarily a thinking space. I was hoping to find a back up reference, even just a magazine article where someone may have spoken coherently on this.

Can anyone recommend a book, website, or magazine article where someone else may have published a similar viewpoint? Thanks!
