I am a grad student in Boston studying architecture. My passion tends to be furniture and other home furnishings. Would like to someday work in the field, or at least be involved with it somehow.

To that end I am starting an apprenticeship with a furniture maker, and family friend, in Germany this summer. While on the trip I was hoping to see / do some other things that would better inform me of the industry I am trying to be engaged with.

Are there any upcoming furniture fairs / exhibitions / companies / small shops that you would recommend I visit? Traveling throughout Europe is hypothetically possible on this pilgrimage...

Thanks in advance!
