Definitely influenced by the e39 (that generation M5 was so nice!)… kind of like if the e30 got the e39 treatment. 
… If I can do that in 20 minutes then I’m sure the designers there can do something that has the spirit of the brand but goes somewhere new. A hard challenge for sure.
