World's lowest car

Repost? Anyways, find this: World’s lowest car.

I would have placed the suspension at a horizontal or hide the shocks and have push rods. Looks abit like a giant kart with body panels

Cool!! Do you lay down in it?

There is something about that I really like… I would love to see it next to some regular cars like a Camry and with people inside and next to it to get more of a sense of scale.

“Lowlife, a car produced by Perry Watkins of Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, England, measure just 23.6 in. from ground to roof and clears the ground by just 1 in.” 23.6 inches is slightly above my kneecap.

Junior, if I trip over your toys in the driveway one … more … time… .

That’s the only image, or reference, I could find. Looks like the operator has to sit up through the “sunroof”.

With regard to “Flat Out” … anyone notice the camber on the rear suspension?

Why?
what is the appeal of a car that you have to sweep the road so you dont bottom out on a grain of sand or a penny. and the suspension, what kind of bump can you hit in a car that is 1inch off the road?

What’s the appeal of a $150,000 wristwatch? You don’t dare wear it outside, because it might get damaged or stolen.

You get it because you can, and to show it o ff once or twice a year. I’ll bet the owner drives a minivan or a family sedan to work every day.

Where’s the engine, exactly? And for that matter, what is it? I don’t think you could fit anything but a motorcycle engine in that vertical space.

I’m afraid I’d run right over that thing. Interesting idea. Either I’d run over it or it would run into me and snap my ankles.

I dunno. Good find though.

Yea what’s the point? Sounds like some people were bored and wanted to attract some attention to themselves. This thing would not be legal to drive on a street and I doubt it meets any of the crash safety standards. It’s ugly anyways, it looks like a hummer just came out of a car crusher…

reminds me of the cars i used to see at the detroit autorama when i was a kid, a la don garlitts.

looks like there should be a pipe organ manifold sticking through the hood and rat fink peeking through the roof.

We in the U.S. midwest are digging out from a large snowfall and a co-worker described to me the experience in his Mini - a low car - of simply scraping the underside along the snow covered road until it was stuck. Never really thought about that when I’ve considered buying a car.

I get that we often design things because we “can” rather than we “should” but it does bring to light some usability concerns with cars in general.
