Seen at an antique engine show that I attended in Santa Margarita, California two weeks ago.
1913 Excelsior - 1000cc Big Valve Twin (valve diameter was 2-1/8").
Currently registered, and driven to the show… functional acetylene head lamp.
Throttle control via multi-bar linkage. Excelsior was founded by Ignatz Schwinn, of bicycle fame.
1904 Reading Standard; asking price, $18,000 in situ
Unknown (to me). Seller would not disclose selling price, but seemed awfully happy with herself.
