Who are the main sustainable design guys?

Hey all, new to info about ID, and I was just wondering who are like the “big names” when it comes to sustainable/green ID?

Thanks!

William McDonough

I would also look into the work that is produced the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering, Delft University of Technology. The have a research group called Design for Sustainability, which has done a number of interesting studies.

Michael Braungart and William McDonough

The two of them are the brains behind the whole C2C (Cradle to Cradle) design thing. They also jointly run a firm called MBDC which worked with Steelcase to design the ‘Think’ chair and several others.

Timothy Gutowski is a big cheese at MIT. He is head of the lab for productivity and manufacturing and has many published itmes regarding benign manufacturing.

I don’t even know what this site is, are there any mature girls here?

I want to rock!

Dee

I’m not sure why designers don’t come up with more clever ways of passing the time (or better, disguising the load) than the standard progress bar!
