I’m applying to a couple of different undergraduate industrial design programs and I need a portfolio with three original pieces. My biggest problem so far is not what to put in the portfolio, but how to present it. Other than specifying the size (8.5X11), none of the schools seem to have any preference as to how they want my portfolio presented. Are there any general guidelines as to how my porfolio should be laid out?
Have a look at some portfolios on coroflot. I like really simple pages with a little text, plus a sketch book. Other people like to see the full process from concept to 1:1 prototypes.
