What should I do: My ex-employer filed a patent for a product design I worked On without Listing me

Here is the update to how things went:

  • As mentioned lawyers defend the existing patent by saying it’s broad patent and claims are based on work that was done before i joined the company

  • Requested to file a new patent to include the updated design I worked on and is the current product. Unfortunately although that’s legit and could have been done, but it has been over 2 yrs since public disclosure and In US max timeline is 12 months after public disclosure of the design.

At this point, Letting it go and not pursuing further. Got the acknowledgment of my work in an Email that serves as proof for me.
