What, is Ford doing right?

Ford’s stock is edging upward; almost a dollar since yesterday (the 05/05).

What are they doing, of which the “the others” seem incapable?

They’re selling cars, balancing their budget, and not relying on the government to do something it’s not supposed to do (run a privately owned company).

They’re styling is getting a lot better as evidenced by the '10 Fusion. But the main thing is they mortgaged everything including the kitchen sink a few years ago so they have more cash on hand. They even leveraged their logo:
