Yes, on the first version of the boards there was only the online image link option. Then it was updated to host images. Over time a lot of the old links have broken as sites that have been linked to have gone away or changed, so it was best to upload them directly.
This latest version of the boards is a completely different platform. Iām not sure the option to link a photo instead of post it exists on this platform. @shaggy might know for sure. Either way, my recommendation would be to upload the image which is much easier now.
