VICTOR SCHRECKENGOST

VICTOR SCHRECKENGOST, HELL I HAVEN’T HEARD THAT NAME IN A LONG TIME
I LEARNED FAMILY RELATIONS BY MAKING PLATES N SAUCERS FROM THAT CAT.

That’s what I’m talking about! He turned 99 years old!!! Go Victor go!

Inventor of the first cab over engine vehicle I might add.

(just to keep under transportation)

IS THAT GUY STILL ALVE! IT MUST BE THE YOUNGER WIFE HE HAD

one of my favorite ID people. sharper at his age than most at any age.

I’d back that up. The dude is a good egg.

Many of us from the Cleveland Institute of Art had him as an instructor. I think he is one of the most influential designers of the modern age. He has influenced somewhere near 5 generations of designers. Imagine the scope of his knowlege? He has created some of most every groundbreaking designs in the world- The White Cab-over truck is just one of them.

Huff, we know he’s the man. - Hey, how’s the furniture going?

Dan Zimmermann

Excerpts from the article:

Viktor Schreckengost, a Cleveland artist, teacher and industrial designer who transformed America through his own work and that of the generations of students he taught at the Cleveland Institute of Art, died Saturday night at age 101.

“Chances are that almost every adult in America has ridden in, drunk out of, eaten off of, mowed their lawns with, sat on, placed a call with, lit the night with, hid their hooch in or had an arm or leg replaced with something created by Viktor Schreckengost,” Nowacek (his stepson) said in an interview in 2005.
