Mandarin and Hindi are at the top of the heap for their congruous national combination of cheap manufacturing, labor, and high technical ability.

I still want to learn Mandarin because my girlfriend speaks it and because I imagine it would certainly come in handy at some point in the work world.

English is usually helpful in north america
