I’m very interested in going to a design school after my current undergrad engineering program(A 3/2 Combined plan program, 3 years liberal arts, and 2 years at Columbia). Is it common for an engineer to go into a design school? Is a grad school what I’m looking for in this case? Or another undergrad degree on top of an engineering degree?
Also, as a career choice for myself, what types of engineering work best with design? At the moment I’m interested in Earth and Environmental Engineering, Computer Engineering/Science, but would be open to considering others based on what is discussed.
At the moment, I am also freelance web and print designing.
I’m really excited for the way this school plan is forming. Engineering and Design seem like a match made in heaven to me.
