Outlining photographs in Illustrator is so passé…
I assume it’s your personal site and that you’re 16-18 years old, and I have to say that for your age and experience it is very impressive…you have a great potential.
I wouldn’t say it’s that passe, I think there’s some interesting stuff done with the style in the portfolio. It’s what you do with that technique that can make your work stand out from those that won’t stry from outlining. Your sketching is excellent by the way.
I don’t know that you do any 3D modeling, but there’s a plugin for 3D Studio MAX called Illustrate! that, among many other techniques like cell shading, sketchy lines, etc, can do outlining of models. If you have any interest I highly recommend you check it out, even if for some inspiration at the very least. Nice work!
