can anyone of you tell some information about cork etc what dimension there is and about the cost of it?
emmanouil,
The “Thomas Register” is a catalog of manufacturers in the United States and North America. It is on-line at:
The word “cork” inserted on the “Search” line came up with:
http://www.thomasnet.com/nsearch.html?cov=NA&which=prod&what=cork&navsec=search&heading=19923200
“Google” (www.google.com) the phrase “cork materials” and you will find:
“Google” the phrase “cork materials in Greece” and you will find:
The European Suppy Network is another source of materials:

How about some insight from core readers that isn’t a link to a google search. I know his question is general, but as if he didn’t already try google!
If you’re not already familiar with him, check out this designer: http://www.branchhome.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2&products_id=35
He has a few cork based products out there, and could probably share many insights (if you ask the right questions).

ya know draw … old buddy … I’ve probably had one too many tonight, and I’ll probably regret having written this in the morning, but having just read your inane response to my “google” leads for general information about cork, your third-hand reference to another designer’s work doesn’t answer emannouil’s question at all …
you call your link insight?
like I said, I know I’m going to regret this in the morning… . .
You can get a pretty good idea of standard dimensions and pricing (although higher than what you would pay in bulk direct from a supplier) from McMaster-Carr: http://www.mcmaster.com
Obviously I don’t know what you’re using it for, but cork typically comes in sheets or strips up to 36" wide with thickness ranging from 1/32" to 1/2". At least that’s what McMaster carries, and if McMaster doesn’t carry something, God doesn’t want you to have it. I’m sure if you go directly to a cork supplier you can get just about anything you can imagine if you’re willing to write a big enough PO.
