-Hands on with a balance between a protective learning environment and exposure to the industry. It should teach core principals of design (problem solving, foundation art, sketching/rendering, modeling, proposal writing) as well as encourage conceptual thinking and have in depth courses into various design philosophies and research methodologies

-impossible to answer as it varries based on the individual

3 which is the best design school architecturally?
-has absolutely no bearing on the first two questions. The best design schools I’ve seen (IMO) where dumps that focused not on their real estate but on their students
