Student Blogs

Some great stuff!

hi i have a blog for interior design prospectives. it details my process of finding a school and various other information about licensing and registration and just regular old inspiration. designu.tumblr.com

Thanks so much for doing these blogs!

I start school this fall and these + the VISCOM1 blog + Scott Robertson’s DVDs have made for a productive summer!

Finally finished publishing my work from last term! Check it out:

Your link doesn’t work, ut I’m glad I just clicked onto your mainpage! That grill is beautiful. Love the concrete and wood rendering as well. Your work is top notch. I’m not seeing you having any issues with getting into the industry at all! Fantastic work!

Oops, I just edited the link. Thanks for the compliments Michael. I’ve come a long way since my first Core77 post!

I had doubts about studying in Art Center, but from your blog, I’m seeing that it’s worth every cent of 80,000$ or so that you need to pay for it  I really like your work as well

It is great to see the process and the growth! You stuck with it and your work kicks ass.

Just posted lots of updates from my work last term!

Kepano_ THANK YOU for posting this. Excellent work, it is exciting to see your progress and your work is putting juniors and seniors from other schools to shame. This is what an ID portfolio should look like! I can tangibly see you are having fun. I can feel your curiosity jump off the pages. Excellent, excellent, excellent.

Thanks Michael, your words of encouragement have been a tremendous boost since I first started posting on the forum!

Art Center is worth every penny. Just back from a term studying in Japan. Peep my website link on the 1st page. now working on my 7th term thesis project. booyah!

it is very impressive what you’ve done since your first post (that you linked)… great job and nice design work

Ditto on everything that’s been said kepano. Awesome, awesome work. I remember following your first posts since I started looking at schools at around the same time, it’s awesome to be able to track your progress, see how you’re maturing as a designer, get some insight on how the Art Center approach differs from DAAP’s and best of all have a source of inspiration to not get lazy and keep stepping my game up. It’s great to see the synergy of tons of hard work, and passion.

I’d like to see the final R/C car model when you get a chance, looks awesome!

Also congrats on getting the Lumi project funded, your dedication to both school and developing this new business is very impressive.

Very nice blog… Love the sketches

Many grtz

I started trying to draw something everyday, but it got impossible with my coursework. So now I just upload drawings as I do them for school. I am a sophomore ID student.

I have found it to be a really good side project to make me sketch more than I do now.

It’s been a while, but I posted a quick update with a link to my new portfolio which has lots great process shots: http://portfolio.angoulvant.net/

Still hoping to see more students join in!

you guys are posting some nice stuff on your blogs. I have already mentioned it in an earlier post but here is my blog: http://www.brookbanham.com/CCS . I am studying at the CCS in Detroit for a masters in trans design. Been on it for about 4 weeks. Just posting sketches for now until I have some completed projects to share.
