The company Drive has content for Autodesk Showcase on the AliasDesign community site. Certainly does look like it could be Showcase.
Can Showcase do the animated backgrounds like that though?
Really hard to tell. I thought it could’ve been showcase until I saw the animated backdrops (unless that was all composited afterwards).
Otherwise it could be any of the dozens of animation programs, 3D Studio, Maya, C4D, Softimage, etc.
Does anybody know software equivalent to softimage or similar software’s which are cheaper.

Check 0ut Modo, also both maya and alias studio can do animated back drops… although it is more efficient to do it in post production.
