I got this article in an email this morning from Core.
Basically, Shanghai Automotive has been producing GM and VW cars under a joint-venture for the Chinese market. Now, Shanghai will start to compete using their own designs, and dumping the GM and VW cars. Now, the article makes it sound like Shanghai Automotive was really smart, but western companies can not own anything in China, so a joint venture is the only way to do business there.
Perhaps the US should pass a law saying that only products of joint ventures with US companies should be allowed to be imported?
It’s total BS, but you had to see that coming really.
