Where would I find school rankings for ID?
Rankings can tend to be bias. If I had to do over again (with unlimited funds), I would target major metropolitan areas with companies that I had an interest in working for and find a reputable school in the vicinity. Makes networking much easier, just make sure you attend a school thats in the top 20% for reputation. Those institutions are pretty obvious (usually NASAD certified, but thats another thread).
Also, look at the IDSA member list. They list who works for what type of company and where that individual received their formal design education.
Since you are already in the Cinci area, UC has an excellent program…and the co-op program is awesome for networking with professionals.
