I got a Rubix cube not to long ago and lost the instructions to it. I got as far as puting all 9 green boxes together with the red, yellow orange, white, 3 boxes aligned with the top green side with the middle colors which makes a “T” shape. Almost 50% solved. The blue underneath is not solved.
Who has solved it and how long did it take for you to do it? I think it is the best puzzle design created!
Back in the day, I had the cheat sheet to solve the puzzle once one side was resolved. Once committed to memory, the challenge was how fast you could do it. I think that’s how most people did it back then.
Lots of solution sites on the web. Sure beats the old ‘word of mouth’ and hand copying the solution.
I can solve it in an average of 40s. However theres are alot of people that can do it under 15 seconds but thats after a couple of months usually years of practice.
There are several ways to do it. Layer by Layer, Corners first, Box approach, etc etc. If you want an easy way to solve it that doesnt take much memorizing. Rubik's Cube Solution : Nerd Paradise is a good website to learn from.
I used to just peel the stickers off then show my family. They couldn’t believe an 8 year old could do it. That was until they asked to watch me do it after the third time I showed it to them. I thought I had them all fooled. I guess not.
