trying to think of a product that has metal poles fastened together (like a folding chair) but has molded plastic/elastomer parts at the joints/intersections with detents to lock the rotating pole to a specific position.
Baby carriages? tent poles? can anyone think of a product? im sure i’ve seen it, but can’t think of it…
Have a look at the photo and film industry. They use lots of “collapsable” screens and filters that use that type of mechanism. Also the US military uses something called an expedient antenna system with a similar mechanism.
