Polystyrene color

Hello,
I’m working on a polystyrene box for frozen products + ice. I was wondering if the polystyrene can be colored. I know it can be black (the Gü ice cream packaging), but can it be pink or orange??
Do you have any technical idea about it?
Thank you for your help!!

can it be pink or orange??

IDea,

Yes, PS can be pink, or orange, or just about any color (or no color; clear (like ice)) that you can imagine; it just can’t be obtained in very small quantities (for model making).

“Thousands” of kilograms is a usual minimum quantity order requirement for custom color formulations for sheet material. If you are extruding your own sheet, from resin, the cost is somehat less.

Here’s a reference. Use “Google” to find more.

You can paint your prototypes.

Thank you for the link!
I tried to google it too, but just found (for the moment) some very technical reports…!
I was talking about expanded polystyrene boxes (and I hope they will be massively produced  ), that’s why I was not sure about the possible coloration (I’ve only seen white and black ones). But I suppose that if it can be black, It can be pink!?!

Yes what coolers are made out of EPS typically white but you can get other colors as well.
