Other fields to enhance ID ability?

I’m thinking on continuing education, or taking on a larger load of classes. Does anyone reccommend a certain area which will better my chances of landing a higher position (immediately or in the future) or receiving a job at all?

understanding peoples perceptions as well as group mentality can be a powerful tool for creating things that folks want.

Mechanical Engineering or Marketing

Build a solid foundation on engineering, then add value through a specialty in understanding Humans (Cognitive Science etc.) and Business (strategy, marketing etc.)
