Nike Considered - Environmentally Conscious

nice, but i still prefer an ugly rubber shoe made by a grownup above an enviromental friendly shoe made by a 5 year old in a sweatshop!

Sweatshop? Let me guess-- ultra “liberal” design student who doesn’t realize that the computer keyboard on which he is typing, the chair in which he is sitting, and the mouse that he was clicking were manufactured in worse conditions than Nike shoes.

Good for Nike for at least trying to address some of these things.

The real improvement in environmental conditions is not going to come from more governmental regulation or from proletariat mobs burning down the corporations, but from market pressures applied by the billions of consumers in the world. If people demand low impact sustainable products, companies will either deliver or go out of business.
