Santa brought me a fresh pair of Blockades in the black colorway and I love em. Great job dziner82, you should be proud.
NICE!
Oh snap, just saw the thread congrats dude, stuffs looking good.
Can’t wait to see the next season!!!
Some of the Adidas stuff that I worked on last year is slowly starting to make it’s way out. Here’s a quick snapshot of a China-exclusive shoe that I did. The top is the presentation rendering that was done in Illustrator, and then some detail pics of near-finished samples…
Sick render!!!

nice shoe!
was this made for a particular sport?
would be a great causal shoe if it had a slightly more low profile midsole.
Thanks guys. The shoe is released from our basketball category here, and is a China exclusive. It’s an on-court/off-court shoe…something simple and clean that can be played in, but worn casually as well. That ‘formotion’ tooling that we use is pretty technical (and chunky), so that has some technical features for the China market. Besides that…the perf detail, eyestay construction, and the subtle midsole fade in certain colorways are some things I worked in to balance it out overall.
Chris, that Illustrator rendering is ridiculous. Like the design too.
Thanks Ryan. Here’s a Dick’s Sporting Goods exclusive shoe that I co-designed with my boss – the Adizero Infiltrate. The overall focus was a lightweight, faster looking team shoe for this account…

cool. I like the blk/wht colorway, it brings out more of the detail in the upper. also like the feet you wear design language in the outsole.
what is the dots underlay for the blue pods in the outsole? is that just a printed graphic or some sort of tech?
Yea…those dots are just paint behind the clear pods. Personally, I like how it looks from a distance, but up close it gets kinda sloppy/inconsistent on certain shoes. Overall, a nice cheap little trick though for some added detail.
Figured id throw some stuff in here to keep the thread going… and keep representin the “casual” side of things here in the footwear forum!
here are some photos and line drawings/renderings of a group of shoes i worked on that just went to market in august, maybe a bit sooner globally (where they are selling much better).
here are a couple sole renderings (making the illustrator lines for this took quite a while!) Initially i wanted to do the tread as damless molding but we were not able to do damless up the sides so had to go to the more basic color molding.
here are some finished photography

Lastly, a PoP video that was created for use at retail, looks like one of our licensee’s uploaded it to the youtubes, hence the subtitles. You will notice the nod to the “toning trend” in the video, whereas the ads that were created about 6 mos prior were kind of going against the toning treand.
This was a pretty development for us, so most groups I design do not get this much support! but nice to work on one that did
Looks like it was a very fun brief for you dziner. I really like the mid cut and the ads.
My first ever massproduced project was recently released. It was the first upper design & material spec I was trusted with during my internship at puma, 1.5 years ago. Have to look for them in the stores now… Surreal! (Puma Sasquash mid II)
nice, congrats.
