In 2003, the first moderators were asked by core77 HQ to volunteer in an effort to help keep the flow of conversation professional, supportive, and interesting. Since then we have added to our ranks when we have noticed a member take a proactive role in our little but global community.
It will officially be announced tomorrow on the front page, but please join us in welcoming Taylor Welden to the moderating team here on the core77 forums. Over the last 6 years Taylor has become a trusted member of the community. He is a consistent and frequent poster who always kicks in an interesting point of view or a helping hand. We felt he would make a great moderator.
Taylor, we are glad to have you as a moderator! Welcome!
As I told Michael via email yesterday… it is an privilege and honor to take on the role as a Core77 moderator. Though some may consider this a minor title/role, I think this will be a great outlet for me to give back to the Core77 community, one that has provided me with so much over the years. Honestly, I can admit that I wouldn’t be where I’m at in my career without the generous bounty of information and resources that is offered from C77 and Coroflot. I’m stoked to join up with such an amazing professional team of folks, all of you who I’m happy to call colleagues and friends. Sappy, maybe. Legit, absolutely.
If you ever want to chat with me directly about anything, feel free to drop me an email and I’ll get right back to you. I’m happy to chat over the phone too, just ask.
Taylor - I didn’t Know you were from Hershey PA. We used to have a sign in the Mars office right as you walked out the door that read “What did you do to beat Hershey today”. I always felt like smacking it as if I was walking out of the my high school locker room before the big game.
Hi again, I’m pleased to announce we have selected a second new moderator, UC senior Matt Choto. The full announcement should be going live on the front page later today, but Matt’s new moderator abilities are now live. We are happy to have another great member on the team! Welcome Matt.
