Don’t think most of you pay attention to the future of design, but this may not be too far out especially with the other stuff going on that I mention: http://news.com.com/Attack+of+the+killer+prototype+robots/2100-11394_3-6121092.html?tag=nefd.lede
I could definitely see something like this happening and being very useful for sketch studies/mockups and helping to refine ergonomics for those folks that model things on the computer without ever touching foam.

That is kind of rude and presumptuous at the same time.
Getting the spheres to coordinate is interestingly the most difficult part? That’s a rather obvious statement. Reminds me of how everything is energy and if you had the right configuration or controls you could engineer anything from the carbon level on up into higher order molecules. Still waiting on self-replicating nanobots, though.

Dude will you stop acting like a bitchy neglected housewife and get on with it? We all get that you think and write more about the future of design and prototyping than all the other 900 students and daydreaming professsionals who read and contribute to Core77. Hoo-effing-ray.
lol
seems i dug up a dead two-year-old thread right before he promised to stop posting on the board.
riiiight…and as of 1950 we were supposed to have cities on the moon and flying cars by now.
