Name badge holders

As I go from event to event I’ve started to notice A) how bad the name badge holders are that you get given at these events / shows / conferences B) how many you get through per person.

They so typify the worst of the throw away society and there must be a better designed ‘eco’ alternative?

If there isn’t it would make a great 1hr design challenge.

Thoughts welcome.

At the Montreal convention center they have a bin at the entrance and exit where you take a badge holder and toss it back at the end of the day. You only keep your ticket. Seems like a winner.
