MX Revolution Mouse

I just fired up my new MX Revolution mouse (Logitech). Pretty sweet.

It goes to show that everything doesn’t have to cost $9.99 at Wal-Mart. I’m willing to bet that quite a few people are going to join me in slapping down $99.99 for a well designed device that leap-frogs the competition and carves out a new high end in a commodity category.

Anyone else have one of these yet?

(And no, I don’t work for Logitech…)

I am curious how you like any mouse that helps with CAD.

I just fired up a “Southpaw” 3D Conexion Spaceball add on at work and have found some funky losses of parts in my assemblies.

Currently I am using Solid Edge. 9-5
Solidworks - evenings
Pro previously with great success.

While getting along in Solid Edge is fine, Solid edge is like asking Carl Lewis to run the 100m in quick sand. Too basic and has half the functionality of PRO.

I use the mx-1000 laser and I love it. Got it to replace my mac mouse and the thought of using the mac mouse makes me cringe. I’ve also noticed that other mice feel really crappy and cheap after using the mx1000 for about a year. (maybe they feel cheap because they feel lighter to me now, the mx is heavy!)
