I work for the company that produces metal furniture and my task is to invent (or suggest) a new product (waterpfroof and made of metal or steel - required) which would be interesting for the market. What could such a piece of furniture look like? What elements should it contain to be interesting and profitable? Who would it be interesting for? Which target group?
If you could share some ideas I would be grateful.
Thanks
I guess it could look like this.
Maybe… but where is the “waterproof”? I was thinking rather about something like a locker or cabinet that is used for protecting paper documents.
By the way…if your idea was supposed to be funny - it wasn’t, though quite inspiring.
Thanks anyway
Edited: nevermind.

It seems to me that if it is YOUR “task [is] to invent (or suggest) a new product (waterpfroof and made of metal or steel - required) which would be interesting for the market” then perhaps, YOU should be the one that does it…
You are, afterall, the one who is being paid to do so.
If you could share some ideas I would be grateful.
The members of this forum are all either professional industrial designers, or students in training. I’m sure there would be a number of individuals that would be more than willing to assist you, but you should not expect it for for free.
That said, welcome to the boards.
Posting a question like this on a forum seems a bit dodgy. What you are asking is what we get paid to do.
I got lots of ideas. Act now and I can throw in the free slicer for only additional shipping and handling…
Good stuff isn’t free.

My girlfriend has requested that i repaint our apartment. could any of you guys come by and paint a room. (To be posted on a home painter forum) If you dont think this is funny, hopefully you find it inspiring
To me it sounds like: “Please do my homework. Thank you.”
Hint (for free , although it is valuable)
The first question is to ask yourself: Where does water usually appear (inside/outside home)?
Ok Guys I got the message… Don’t get annoyed by my post.
You are so good-stuff-isn’t-for-free pros that I should probably even pay for browsing your websites.
I wasn’t looking for anything like “hey do my homework for me”. Rather…“you are experienced designers, would you mind giving me some advice or maybe sharing some hints or tips?”
But ok.
Thanks for this lesson.
You’re welcome.
I think that people on this forum would be more than happy to offer advice, hints, or tips, but you did not ask for any of these things. You asked for design concepts which is a totally different beast. Please do not be defensive. I think that if you re ask your question, specifically asking for advice or tips, you will see different results. Good Luck
Yes.
If you had some ideas and tossed them out to see what we think, I’m sure you’d get a different reply. You weren’t looking for advice, but ideas. Give us your ideas and you’d for sure get comments.
