Mechanical Engineer Salaries

Hi All,

I was hoping a few of you could help me out here. I currently work at a large, private company but I am strongly considering pursuing a job at a product design firm. How do the salaries vary? Can I expect a pay cut? Right now on salary.com I am in 20th percentile for my current job title.

Any help would be great!
