Martial arts sparring equipment padding (ESA or PVC foam?)

Hi,

I’m a student working on a design project that requires the use of a foam the same or similar to that used on martial arts sparring equipment padding. Ads for some of this equipment mention “vinyl-dipped ESA foam” and “vinyl-dipped PVC foam”. I can’t seem to find any info on these foams. Can anyone here direct me to an info source or, better yet, a supplier of this type of foam? How about the vinyl covering?
