Love sketching, hate rendering, help!

A robot from a few days ago.

A turtlish from last night. Had more fun with this one. Just dropped down colors and used lights and shadows to mold the shape rather than starting off with hard sketch lines as I did with the robot. The design changed multiple times throughout the process. More free form, where I could design and render simultaneously instead of designing first then rendering second.

I really have to try this technique.
This fish (or an acquatic creature at any rate) looks pretty good . Also your recent car drawings are looking nice. I look forward to seeing more.

That purple turtle thing is pretty great. Work that style some more!

Thanks Yo.

Whoa, hot! Very nice!

Thanks Yo.

I’m finally starting to enjoy rendering in photoshop. I think Im making some progress and have been getting more comfortable with the hardware… slowly but surely.

Nice job! Reminds me of some Cinema 4D “low poly” style, which is a good thing (example at Water Lights by Timothy J. Reynolds on Dribbble)

Sketchroll, looks like you’re having fun (and getting good)! Keep it up and keep it loose! Seems like you’re getting the hang of that balance already!

Thanks Robbie, Cameron. The Lowpoly work is really cool!

This took a whopping 5 hours. But I love the way it came out.
