Looking for a Shared Work Shop

I just moved to DC to start an industrial design position in a small medical design company. Problem is, it’s a small cubical-like job and I have no where to build models, sand, spray-paint etc. except my apartment lawn (which doesn’t work in the rain, and will be impossible in winter). Also, I’m working with a small budget so even if we found a space/room, affording normal tools like a bandsaw, shop vac, spray booth, etc. may be out of the picture right now.

Does anyone have any suggestions of places, or types of places, that rent out shop space, or groups that share machining equipment for a cost? I’d like to stay away from as much outsourcing (other people doing my job) as possible.

Thanks for the suggestion. I found their website and I’m going to go take a look at the place tonight. From the looks of it though, it’s more of an electronics shop. I don’t know how much they’d appreciate me sanding foam or creating spray paint fumes.
