Hi -
Looking for recommendations for a North America (USA preferably) based CNC machined prototype manufacturer. We need a large-scale capability - parts the size of washing machines - and urethane foams tend to provide an appropriate level of finish resolution for prototyping.
@case0823 earlier mentioned Designcraft… maybe this is an option?
Also looking into ARRK, in San Diego.
Thanks everyone.
I don’t have a direct lead, but when I took a MasterCAM training course (for tiny things like vac-form tools for snacks), the instructor had worked on gigantic-scale CNC machines, and other students were doing all sorts of things. Maybe reaching out to MasterCAM or posting in their forums could provide a lead to the kind of shop you need.
For CNC machined prototypes in North America, especially if you need large-scale parts and high-resolution finishes with urethane foams, Designcraft, as mentioned by @case0823, could be a great option to consider. They’re known for handling big and complex prototypes. You might also check out Proto Labs or Fathom, as they offer similar services and have experience with large parts and detailed finishes.
