Hi Id’ers,
I just wanted to get your suggestions and recommendation as to what LAPTOP should I buy. I will be using this for my freelance job using softwares like Rhino, Alias, 3D MAx, Adobe products etc. My buget is $1.5K.
I have some brands that I am considering (Sony, Apple, HP, Dell), but I don’t know whats the best for ID.
Im planning to buy this before 2008.
I would appreciate any suggestions.

All I can suggest is:
I’m currently working on an Acer Aspire, and I’m pretty happy with it. Lately my cooling system hasn’t been working properly though, and when I stress it too much, it shuts itself down. Pretty annoying.

Would you recommend Macbook pro for industrial design?
If you decide to go with macbook pro it would be best to see if something new comes out soon. Allegedly there will be new processors at the beginning of the year that could be implemented.
A Macbook Pro will be over your price point.
