I’m new to this forum and posted this in the projects section. I didn’t realize there is a sub-forum for footwear. So, sorry for the X-post. Anyway…for the first-run prototype I had them laser cut and etched using clear acrylic. The retail batch will come in frosted, various florescent colors, and mirror finish acrylic.
If any sneaker freaks would like a free set to demo, just email me. I can’t give them to everyone, so I will be a little selective depending on your enthusiasm for footwear.
I love these, I would really like to get ahold of a pair of these.
Any possibility of shipping a pair to the UK?
Like the idea & the execution, nice to see something different
One suggestion I would make is to very slightly round the corners. I could see those nicking the leather or laces. Also I would think of giving it a slight curve on the profile so it better conforms to the shape of the top of the foot.
You should cut a piece of wood into this shape: ( but on its side. Then you could heat the finished pieces and conform them to have a little bit of round.
Otherwise kinda cool. If you did gold I would definitely cop.

Here is v1.0
I have developed a process to contour them too!
