Spell check!
+1. Also, Steve Jobs is dead. Pick a generic name to call you that has no celebrity tied to it.)
Which brings up a point, what is the brand of this product? How does that play into the design? Since it is wood, are there different finishes? Lasering options?
Spelling fixed. Let me know if I missed anything.
@yo: Most definitely! Users could choose different finishes or wood, and of course personalized laser engravings could be an option. I opted to leave the backside blank, because I feel that branding is sort of distraction. But of course, it’s just a concept. I also tried to carry the design language of the wood throughout the accessories (adaptor, dock) to give it a cohesive feel.
Just read an interesting article. Bamboo phones are real!
And on another note, I just sent in my application for CCA, wish me luck!
Question about the layout,
The best projects I have seen (Julius Tarng and Andrew Kim) all use this vertical style, I think its really good for telling the story of the product.
But how does it translate to an A4 portfolio ? Do you keep the column style and have white space on the sides of the page ?
My portfolio was submitted via Slideroom, so it was not printed. If it were, I would’ve adjust the layout to fit the A4 sized paper (and probably take out the black backgrounds. That’s a lot of ink! )
