Is Materials Monthly a useful resource?

My company is considering a subscription to Materials Monthly

I was wondering if anyone else has used this service and would recommend it for a design department in the soft goods industry (with primary interests in textiles and plastics). I like the idea of receiving physical samples to reference as we are located in Toronto and have infrequent access to US showroom-based material libraries.

I had it for a year. I did get some interesting things out of it. But I didn’t renew, which must say something. It would probably be worth trying for a year anyway, it’s not that expensive.
