Industrial Design in New York City

I am an Industrial Design student at Towson University. I am taking a trip to New York City and I was wondering where an aspiring industrial designer might go in Manhattan to make the most of the trip. Thanks

Thanks man. I’m also into shoes so I was planning on stopping by ALIFE, any other suggestions in the shoe category?

niketown is interesting, but more for the experience of the store than the shoes.

Also, the Philippe Starck-designed Hudson Ian Schrager hotel (58th st.) has a very trendy bar and some very cool post-modern spaces.
