idle hands . . .

Every firm has its ups and downs, good times, and not-so-good times. 2009 and 2010 . . . not-so-good times.

So when the work just isn’t coming in, what are you doing? Vision projects? Teaching yourself new skills? Searching for a new job? Spending way too much time on YouTube?

I’ve tried to look at these somewhat rough times as an excellent opportunity to explore my entrepreneurial tendencies. Something that I know will only get harder the older I get, and the more responsibilities I take on. I’m young, ambitious, and driven, so may as well work on my skills while creating something. Worst case it could just become more portfolio material.

Aside from that though, I spend my time doing freelance work and trying to learn more about all those things we didn’t get to cover in school.
