Thanks for the spanish. Did you not notice that this IS AN ENGLISH SITE!!!

…it’s portuguese.

I knew it was portugese. Just checking if you knew!

Seriously though, anyone care to translate. Hypersonic sound…interesting.

That’s what I’m making of it…He likes a lot the new technology of replication
…something…
something HSS, and he wonders if there’s a possibility to apply that new technology in….car sound system?

The automotive systems of sound…and don’t forget that little “I’m constipated” face underneath it all…

What could it all possibly mean?

yea, something to the tone that they like this new technology for reproducing sounds…and its application in sound systems in automobiles.

Doesn’t really say much about the technology itself.

couple of different areas he might be thinking of. first is that hyper-directional sound. dont know but suspect its super-hi-frequency. like a tweeter on steroids. not hypersonic though.

other is that sound-as-weapon stuff. not sure how that works. might be related to above. a google would probably answer this.

[dont know Portugese, but by the words i’m betting he has seen example of that hyper-directional stuff. remember it on tv. there was mention of it being moved to cars. that way everyone can listen headset-free to their own music]

YKH…what do you mean by “listen headset-free to their own music.” The whole idea of Hypersonic sound scares me. Maybe I don’t understand it (actually, I’m POSITIVE I dont’ understand it), but it frightens me to think of cars 5 miles away, booming their stereo, and letting me listen to it. Oh, lucky us!

I saw something on TV once about reconstructive surgery on the ear-drum. Basically a transducer attached to the ear drum moves it in and out using magnets, thus replicating the affect sound waves have on the ear. Basically allows people to hear again. Wouldn’t it be cool if you could give it a negetive pull, which would essentially stop your ear-drum from moving? You could actually tune your boss out!

This technology allows you to focus, or spotlight the sound waves. I heard a description once describing it as the laser of the audible sound frequencies.

Let me add one more that illustrates possible uses for the technologies.

And here is the article describing HSS as the laser of sound waves.

New I had then saved in my technologies files…

its what i thought. sound focusing using super-high frequency sound waves. didnt understand that audible sound was created by the breakdown of the beam tho. cool. these things are creating VIRTUAL speakers!
