can anyone tell me about how many hours they took a semester? was it like 9-12 hours? thanks

Most of the time it was 18…and I think I had a low of 14 and a high of 21. Can’t say I recommend going over 18 though, I think that quarter with 21 credits nearly killed me.

full time is usually a 12 hour minimum (?)

I got most of my gen eds out of the way @ comm college

so I usually took 13 at the University

I tried 21 hours one semester and ended up dropping a class, it was REAL bad!

Averaged 15, but it’s not the hours that matters, but which classes. We have 1.5 credit classes which is more like a 6 hr class.

21 that sounds mad hectic, what is the equivalent in semesters? at school we had to get special permission to take over 17 credit hours…

It all depends on how your classes are weighted. I assume it varies slightly from school to school. (regardless of quarter or semester schedules)

I remember adding up the time for that 21 hour quarter and it came out to something like 38 hours of required “in class” time per week. And that didn’t include time spent in studio outside of the listed class periods. Again, I wouldn’t recommend it. I did it so that my final quarter in school was light, and I could focus on my thesis work.
